Gluten-Free Gems at Disney Springs

My son Flynn & me posing with Orange Bird at Disney Springs

When most people think of Disney Springs, they imagine a vibrant place full of shops, entertainment, and plenty of things to do. It’s where you can catch a show, browse unique stores, or just enjoy the atmosphere. But for my family and me, Disney Springs is all about the food—especially the gluten-free options that we’ve come to love. We’ve discovered a few gems that make the trip worthwhile, even if it’s just for a bite to eat. Whether you’re a foodie, have dietary restrictions, or simply enjoy a good meal, these spots are definitely worth checking out.

Cookes of Dublin is attached to and part of Raglan Road Irish Pub, serving as the takeaway ‘fast service’ side of things. If you prefer a more relaxed, sit-down meal, definitely check out Raglan Road—where you’ll find the same great gluten-free options.

I stumbled upon their gluten-free offerings purely by accident. I was around the corner at Erin McKenna’s Bakery (we’ll get to that next) when an employee there mentioned that Cookes had gluten-free options. My first thought was, “Gluten-free fish and chips? No way that’s going to be good.” But curiosity got the better of me, so I went in and ordered the Gluten-Free Fish & Chips, expecting little to nothing.

To my absolute surprise, I was blown away! Not only did I receive a huge piece of fish, but it was also cooked perfectly. The batter was crispy, the fish was juicy, and the flavor was divine. The house-made tartar sauce was the perfect complement to the fish and batter. The chips were thick-cut steak fries, perfect for dipping in my vinegar and ketchup concoction (though it’s worth noting that malt vinegar contains traces of gluten). I was so impressed with this dish, and I probably shouldn’t admit this, but the employee even gave me the recipe for the batter so I can make it at home. Now, I use their recipe every time I fry fish.

I’m not exaggerating when I say I’ll make a special trip to Disney Springs—a good 2-2.5 hours from my house—just to have the Fish and Chips at Cookes.

In addition to the fish and chips, there are other gluten-free options available, such as fried chicken tenders, burgers, and battered sausages. However, I was totally bummed to find out that their Braised Beef Grilled Cheese is not available gluten-free.

The pricing at Cookes is REALLY fair, especially for what you get, even more so for it being at Disney Springs. I would say it’s 2/5 for pricing.

I give Cookes of Dublin 4.5/5 waves

What’s for dessert, you ask? Let me bring Erin McKenna back to the conversation. Located literally right around the corner from Cookes is Erin McKenna’s Bakery, a 100% gluten free, dairy free, vegan bakery.

Making Waves: Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC began its journey in 2005 on Manhattan’s Lower East Side with two simple principles: create treats without harmful ingredients and do it all while wearing adorable uniforms. Since day one, their mission has been to cater to those often overlooked—people with gluten, dairy, egg, and soy sensitivities, as well as health-conscious individuals and, most importantly, kids with allergies who usually miss out on sweet indulgences. They carefully choose their ingredients, using natural sweeteners in moderation, with the aim of making vegan and gluten-free eating both fun and delicious. So, get comfy, and enjoy the delightful creations that Erin McKenna’s has to offer!

Our family discovered Erin McKenna’s Bakery while exploring the new additions to Disney Springs. We’ve always loved visiting Amorette’s Patisserie for sweets, but they were missing one crucial thing I needed: gluten-free options. (Don’t get me wrong, we still love Amorette’s, but sometimes you have to go where your dietary needs are met!)

The moment we walked into Erin McKenna’s, I was in disbelief—everything in the bakery was gluten-free. Yes, EVERYTHING! From donuts and cupcakes to cookies, teacakes, scones, dessert breads, cinnamon rolls—you name it, they had it.

One of my go-to orders, especially when I can’t decide, is the Bakery Sink. It’s a fun assortment of goodies piled into a cup with a slushy domed lid. The best part? They’re often BOGO!

On our most recent visit, Disney Springs was celebrating Flavors of Florida Orange Blossoms, and Erin’s had some special treats I couldn’t resist: the Orange Zest Scone and Orange Blossom Cupcakes. Jay grabbed the viral ‘Hamburger’ Cupcake along with the ‘Hot Dog’ Cupcake, while Flynn treated himself to two Bakery Sinks. I added a Cookie Monster Cupcake to my order and may have helped Flynn with one of his Bakery Sinks! My favorite treats this trip were the chocolate-on-chocolate donut and the cinnamon roll, both found in the Bakery Sink. The Orange Blossom Cupcake was tasty, though I wished the icing had more of an orange zestiness rather than just vanilla.

The staff at Erin McKenna’s is warm and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. Their menu offers a mix of regular staples and seasonal delights, ensuring there’s always something new and exciting to try.

The pricing isn’t what you’d expect for a typical cupcake—remember, this is a 100% allergen-aware menu, so a cupcake might go for $10. The best bang for your buck is definitely the Bakery Sink, but honestly, everything here is worth every penny in my opinion.

I give Erin McKenna’s Bakery 4.75/5 Waves

When visiting these places at Disney Springs, I like to part in the Lime Garage. Once you go through entrance security, head on down the escalator and take a right. Turn left at the end of the building and go past the Lego store. Turn left at the T-Rex Cafe and head past PaddleFish. Erin McKenna’s is before the Chapel Hat Store (bathrooms!!!!) and to get to Cookes, you will veer hard left around the corner of PaddleFish.
